What is project based learning?

TechnoKids Computer Curriculum uses a project based approach to learning. Instead of students learning technology skills in isolation, they learn them in the context of completing a project.
Project based learning allows each child to select a topic based on their interests. However, everyone in the class learns the same technology skills this approach promotes critical and creative thinking by using the computer as a problem solving tool.

How do I select a technology project to teach?

There are several ways to select a project.

Follow the Project Matrix. This document organizes each technology project by grade.

Look at your curriculum. Pick a technology project that integrates into curriculum units you have already planned.

Consider technology skill. Pick a technology project that focuses on a particular skill area.

Talk to your students. Pick a technology project based on student interest.
